red meat supplies in freezers were 1 percent above April 2001 but
were 19 percent below May 2000, Frozen pork stocks were 2 percent
below last month and were 21 percent below last year, Total frozen
poultry supplies on May 31, 2001, were up 7 percent from last month
but were 14 percent below last year's level, Total pounds of
turkey in freezers increased 16 percent from last month but were 6
percent below last year.
